VIDEO. Nagenieten: Max Verstappen rijdt op Zandvoort

Het was een groot feest gisteren op Zandvoort. Max Verstappen, de jarige Jos Verstappen, Arie Luyendijk en natuurlijk Jan Lammers. Ze waren allemaal op het circuit voor de eerste ronde met een Formule 1 wagen na de verbouwing. Geniet mee van de video

Een Red Bull Racing RB8, twee Aston Martins DBS Superleggera, drie (oud) Formule 1-coureurs, één tweevoudig winnaar van de Indy 500 en een paar splinternieuwe kilometers asfalt. WHAT'S NOT TO LIKE? Precies, niets. Vandaar twee video's en een rij foto's van het event op Zandvoort.

Max Verstappen sprak tegen Red Bull over het de bijeenkomst en over het vernieuwde Circuit Zandvoort: "It was a great opportunity to be the first person to drive an F1 car at the new Zandvoort Circuit and the track is really cool – especially Turn 3 where the banking is amazing. I didn't expect the banking to be that big, but it's really cool to drive an F1 car on. The last corner is the same. It's also pretty banked and with the new cars and DRS open through there it will be a good challenge and a lot of fun. The whole track is very demanding. There are a lot of fast corners and still not that much run-off. That makes it really challenging to go on the limit, but that's good." (Sorry we hadden geen zin om het te vertalen).

Max reed zijn jarige vader Jos een rondje in de DBS Superleggera, maar dat beviel senior nog steeds niet: "He still doesn't like it sitting next to me, so I didn't take it to the limit. We were just talking and having some fun." (wederom, te beroerd om het voor u te vertalen).
